Soul Embraced

Soul Embraced

In flowered meadows bathed in dew
where mystic romance whispers true
its lilting song of wistful dreams
alluring to the soul what schemes

To seek each others countenance
brave lovers eager for the chance
to find that sacred secret gift
That sends the strongest hearts adrift

My love, I’ll find you in such place
Awaiting me in strong embrace
With kisses tender, shower me
Thy words of love, recite to me

Sweet pleasure what be found in thee
our hearts be touched enchantingly
All hopes and wishes be fulfilled
For this we chance what love has willed

Two hearts be joined in spirit form
Where flesh and bone to it, transform
All by the power of the soul
Where two become a solid whole.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
