Love's joy

Love's joy

His whisper and my sighs
stars twinkle in midnight skies

Touching fingertips
as he gently kissed my lips

from the winter's chilly sky
the snow fell softly, so did I

Moonlight shines brightly
we hold each other tightly

Happiness we’ve found
this joy in us will abound

I have one thing to say to you
thank you for loving me like you do

And from a joyous frosted sigh
our words of love form in the sky

This is so beautiful, the tenderness contained within is nice without being sappy :)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
