Embrace the night
Shhhh! See? How softly night wraps
her velvet gown around the earth!
It blankets the sinners in shadow
Covers the tears of young love
Leaves the dreamer in wonder
Shelters the feeble hearted
Softly she kisses the nature child
Who welcomes her arrival
Knowing of her magical wonders
Embracing her arresting spirit
Akin to the depth of darkness
True to the soul of quietness
How she silhouettes falls nakedness
The bare branches the owl speaks from
'Night has arrived, come and see!'
Who can spy the moon without her?
'Who of you could ever get
to witness a golden sunset?
And who has eyes to view so far
without her, a bright shining star?'
And reveals the dressing of the spring
visualizing the smells of floral beauty
she is the minds eye in revelation
where kings plot and wise men plan
