Last Good-Bye
The bed in which you lay upon is disturbed by someone sitting next to you.
The darkness is a comforting feeling for once.
Jens.
Your voice cracks from the sleep you were taken from.
A small child's voice hummed an answering tune.
Jens.
Where are you?
The small female child's voice answered in a comforting whisper.
Laying next to you.
You want to smile,
But sleep still claims you.
What do you want,
Baby?
You hear the sheets rustling softly.
I love you and I'm going to miss you.
Thinking it's a joke you play along.
I love you too.
Where are you going?
This time you feel the sheet moving.
The child's voice gets a little softer.
If you promise not to get be mad at me I'll you.
You almost smile.
I promise.
The child's voice once again gets softer.
You feel the sheets bunch up close to your body.
I'm going with mommy and daddy.
I died last night.
You're eyes shot open in fear.
You realize that there is no one laying next you.
The sheets are crumbled as if someone had been laying there.
But now they are gone.
You jump from bed and run to your young sibling's room.
You quickly force the door open.
Your sister is laying on the floor.
Her eyes are wide open and her head rests in a pool of blood.
Jens!
You run over to her and collect her in your arms.
You scream and cry cradling her.
There she stands in the doorway watching you curse your life.
Watching you in pain.
She watches you.
