    I AM WOMAN

MY PAST HAUNTS ME EVERY TURN OF THE CORNER I WALK, MY FUTURE HAUNTS ME EVERY DREAM I EVER DREAMT OR THINK I EVER THOUGH. I STAND HERE WTH BOTH BEFORE ME, BUT DO I TRUELY SEE THE DESTANY MENT TO BE? BOTH ARE MEN AND I AM ONE WOMAN. ALL MY ADVENTURES ON FOOT, ON SHIP, AND ON CLOUD HAVE TAUGHT ME STRENGTH. MY PAST HAVE TAUGHT ME HOW TO BE STRONG AND WHEN TO BE DEFIANT SO WHEN MY FUTURE BECOMES MY PAST I CAN RISE UP TO THE GODS AND TAKE MY PLACE AS THEIR WARRIOR. I AM HERE TO FIGHT FOR MY OWN FREEDOM. I WILL TAKE THEM BOTH, MY PAST AND MY FUTURE. I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR. I RAOR TO BRING MY COURAGE TO THE BATTLE. I ROAR TO FIGHT WITHIN A BATTLE. I RAOR TO PROVE MY WORTHINESS AFTER BATTLE. I HOLD MY GROUND AND I STAND HERE BEFORE TO PROVE THAT I AM STRONG THAN DEATH ITSELF. BRING TO ME THE BEST AND I SHALL SLAY IT EITHER WITH SWORD, MY VERY OWN HAND, AND/OR SONG. I WILL TAKE THE HEAD OF THE BEST AND SHOW MY POWER AS I HOLD IT HIGH WITHIN MY VERY OWN BLEEDING HANDS. MY BATTLE WITH DEATH WILL PROVE TO BE THE GREATEST EPIC BATTLE IN ALL HISTORY. AND YET BE THE GREATEST BATTLE FOR I AM WOMAN. NOW HEAR ME ROAR.

A wonderful poem with such a strong message. Indeed a poem of motivation for women. Thanks for sharing it.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
