    j.d.m.s memory

It was a place, it was a time
    children's laughs filled the halls
    people screaming, shouting and talking
    it was full of happyness
it was where you went to escape
the truoblesat home, it was secure
    everyone knew eachother
we were like sisters and brothers
and as every family has there were fights and hard times
we faced death pain and heart ache
    we tried to stick together
    but it did not work
some moved away, some passed on
some left to go to the next grade
it was as if it had all begun to fade
we laughed together, we cried together
but in the end we all knew it wolud not last forever
    we said our goodbyes
    some of us cryed
we still talk but its not the same
we wish we could see eachother eery day
    but now its all gone
    we shall never forget eachother
i love you my sisters and brothers

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
