Why I Do It

Why I Do It

Why I Do It

I been writing for years, but just know now

I put my life on the page, with rhythm and style.

I give you my best with love, and devotion,

I give you my pain, with sorrow, and emotion.

You never judge me; you just take it all in,

That my vice and my sanity lie in this pen.

I give you my all in every reciting,

I give you my passion in all of my writing.

I lived to love, and I loved to live,

To be honest as I can, in all that I give.

It heals my soul to the end, from the start,

It feels all the love inside of my heart

You know when you read, one day I’ll achieve,

All that I want, and what my heart needs,

But until that day I’ll just take heed

And know that this writing, is a love for me
