I Use To
I use to be that man that begged you to love me
That man that said please baby touch me,
Open up to me, and let me see,
That you belong with me
I use to believe in more than me
More than my eyes could see, I loved so blindly
Like bad eyes or a dog right beside me
Leading me so kindly
I use to be more than a shell
Before you put my heart through hell, in jail
Without bail, no phone calls, no mail
Just a love locked cell, a loveless tale
I use to think about living with you
Being true to you, in love with you
Those days are through, because you couldn’t get through
The feelings that left you blue, and shot me through
I use to be a lover and poet
But one out of two is left, you know it
One split, left sick, called it, love spent,
Pain drenched, heart lynched.
I use to be that guy, with teary eyes
That told no lies, for you would die
Just to keep love alive
And not be like that guy
I use to have love, loved to laugh
Loved to touch, loved to talk
And loved to fuck
Now I love with not giving a fuck!
