    Someday

They say you pay the cost to be the boss
But you gave and he took, and somehow I lost
I can’t erase what he did to you and your kid
But this is my time to put in my bid
A chance in your life, a smile on your face
Not change it, but add to your beauty and grace
You’re scared to be loved now, you turn on the thought
If your happy then tell me and that’ll be the start
You think all about it and tell me someday
That I can love you and make the hurt go away
But I have learned in my life that some days never come
Your heart too protected, your love on the run
Not wanting to be caught again and entwined
With another bad love, not another night crying
But you say someday, I know the damage is done
Just give me a chance baby
This might be the best someday to come.

Your writings are so optimistic towards one who sounds as though they loved and lost!

Yeah I have loved and lost, but i never truly give up on it.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
