Until the day I was Saved

Until the day I was Saved

Because my journey

Didn’t start till the day I was saved
Took 32 years to get to this place

I was walkin the path
That led straight to the grave
Look in my eyes
Knew that I was afraid

I would go to church
Try and capture my faith
I was ashamed
To look the preacher in his face

Im just a sinner in the eyes
Of the eyes of the god
I never thought that I would
Make it this far

Me and brother
Used to steal em’ and rob
We was happy bein nixxas
Aint wanna look for a job

My pops was hurtin
Thinking where did he lose us
I thought the devil
Just was here to confuse us

Turns out I was inviting him in
And I chose to live a life full of sin
I blamed my problems on my job and my wife
Reality is that I wanted that life

This is very raw and very expressive. It is hard to write the truth but the truth does set us free. Wonderful work.

FINISH THIS...YOU TALK AND ITS NICE BUT THIS IS NOT REALLY A POEM,IT COULD BE A RAP SONG..TRY RAPPIN IT DID YA ALREADY,OK SO MISS OPINION COULD END UP MY HANDLE,BUT i LIKE WHAT YOURE SAYING,JUST NOT THE WAY YOURE SAYIN IT. kEEP WRITING

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
