    My True Life

    No way. no I ain't
    Gonna leave you no way
    Now we done been through
Too much to throw it all it away

The times change I fade back
    Like Penny Hardaway
And nothing harder to to see my mans
    Carted away

    Theres no tomorrow
Let alone I might lose today
    And every problem ain’t solved
    With some Hennessey

    I'm half drunk
Thinking about my lonely life of crime
And barely skated almost had to do
    Some fed time

    Now most my people
Don’t even know about my true life
    They think I'm clean
But arrested more than once or twice

    I used to wake up
To the philly blunts rollin’ dice
And I regret my rap sheet
    Cause it ain’t nothing nice

    And in my opinion
I done been to hell and back and twice
And God himself is telling me that I done jagged my life

    I can’t see turning back
    Cause this my true life
So listen brotha cause I'm telling you
    My true life.

Excellent poem about denouncing your former ways and trying to maintain the straight and narrow path. It is so hard to do no matter what the vice, drinking, smoking or eating too much fried chicken, sodas and chocolate (that's mine) we just have to have our friends pray for us to kick our addictions. So I;, counting on you and I hope you're counting on me and if we stick to writing as our outlet we can beat anything. Keep up this great writing and I'll keep you in prayer.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
