    Poem Commentary

love is just a phone call away and just when the conversation is
getting good there is either another call on the line or the other
person has to go or if it's a cell phone the battery dies. And sometime
feelings change like numbers or the other person can't be reached and sometime there is just no way to make up for lost or hurt emotions and we lose what we once had for the other person.

I decide it was time to hang up
unanswered phone calls no tickets to the picture show, no dinner invite
no hugs or kisses or holding hands
this connection is lost and do not suggest a reconnect plan
You yell and scream that I never love you ,never knew you
never needed you ,never never was forever
forever waiting for the door to knock the ring to chime or
just for you to spend some time
This  connection is lost and do not suggest a reconnect plan
so many tears and fears and even my best friend what was I doing here
holidays come and gone nights and weekends all alone was this the plane to break my heart my will hello hello never call again
The connection has been lost do not dial O there is no operator to place your call no need to hold on,do not try your call again
This connection is lost there is no reconnect plan
The heart you have reached is not in service
    This connection has been lost

1, An interesting phone disconnect turned into a poem of longing and confusion. This keeps the reader at bay all the way through. ginga

This is my first comment and Wow you got it Thanks!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
