    Poem Commentary

The sprit of Chirtmas is not what we can buy it is in our lives everyday.

    His Life Or Toys

The stores or full ot this and that
    everyone running here and there
plans have been made to share a gift
a feast is plan for us to join
joy to the world the Lord is born

on this day God's only son
was born to give his life so we can live
I'd ask you what you bought for him
something tells me that list has not been fill

He died on the cross confessing to his dad
Father forgive them for they know not what they do
Am asking is this true do you not remember him

King of King's lord of lord's
is there something in those toys
or other things that you hoard
    have we all forgotten him

And his life he gave so we can live

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
