    Poem Commentary

I have lost four of my brothers and one sister whom I never meet from my mother. My father had other children who I meet after his death and I was blessed enough to meet a sister who died of cancer 3-4 months after we meet. Death is something that has no explantion and when I talk to my mother I feel she too can not understand why her children are dyeing before her. I want to stay behin to care for her as much as I can before she too greets the Lord our host.

    After You Moma

     There were 10 a complete set 5girls 5boys
     can you imagine that
a little girl lost  long before I was born
I wonder if she broke moma's  heart
I never really gave it a thought

only after you moma will I leave this earth
on my knees I pray to God for what it's worth

brother 2 was taken we all wonder why he was just one of those guys
who give you what ever he had no question ask
his life no one should have taken that you best believe this is a fact

Moma after you oh I pray to enter heaven too some day,
My sweet moma only after you shall death do us part

The news was awaited he had not been seen
cool ,smoothe brother number 3 sharp as tac
always clean die alone in prison cell that had to be hell

moma still has her doubts if it was him she received
a can full of ash's / dust of a child that she held in her arms
sits in a urn for us all to mourn

the oldest brother could not talk nor hear but he knew moma was dear so word was sent to bring her close
before the lord came as his host

only after you are gone moma to be with the Lord
for those of us who are left here to mourn
are all back in your arms  only after you are gone
the 6 of us pray to the Lord only after you are gone
