The Power of God

The Power of God

He ran and ran and ran
He slept and slept and slept
He forgot got lost and tripped
He wept and wept and wept

He stopped to look and thought
He traced back all his steps
He climbed a tree to see
He hopes someone will come

She'd call and call and call
She'd wait and wait and wait
She'd pretend and cook and clean
She's too late too late too late

She wakes the town to look
She speaks to God and prays
She knows his favorite place
She hopes he'll be okay

Darkness hides the world
Sunshine comes out again
The people have tried and tired
Time tells them it's the end

I watched them run and cry
I saw them search and sweat
I love this boy and mother
I love people who help each other

I gave them reason to be together
I made their bonds much stronger
I know they'll be grateful forever
I answered their hopes and prayers

A very unique overview of telling a tale of redemption in 'lost' relationships! We can't see the end of things, only as far as we've gone on the journey; He sees the end from the beginnning and 'will be faithful to finish the work that He began in you'. Excellent in originality and message...Applause Crescendo!!

I must say you are a rapturous reviewer and you have truly made my day with your inspiring commentary.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
