The lonely One's

Have you ever felt the warmth from a snowy winter sky? Staring out the window and you know it hears your cries! In a damp and lonely crib that seems to be your life. With a beard so Grey and flowing as he whistled in the wind. He cuddled me in warmth and love as such I've never known, Reminding me the time soon comes, To take his hand, I'm going home, To be where I began. So was he the angel of winter warmth sent to sooth my troubled life? Or was he just another voice they say lives in my mind. To share with me those words that since have left my mind, For what I felt inside of me, I've shared throughout my life, With lonely ones, Who long for home, Just like me.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
