The Colors Of Life
Kites cartwheeling througha blue, sun-kissed sky,
Awash with colors
of summers gone by.
Licked lollipops looping
shiny green and white,
Entrapped in sticky fingers
of the children they delight.
Indigo merging with a
hushed violet hue,
Day becomes night,
letting stars sparkle through.
Onset of Autumn,
leaves turn amber, orange and red,
Small, screaming youngsters
flee from goblins they dread.
Cold winter days are trimmed
in silver and in gold.
Old and young alike inspired
by Christ's birth retold.
Pink petal blossoms
springing up like new hope,
Every season, every moment
is God's kaleidoscope.
