    Tears and Candle Light

The sea waves wash the shore with tender care
And make me of your tears so much aware
And make me of your love so ever sure
So sweet with passion, and so deep and rare
I think of your smile in my happy days
I think of your tears in awe and despair
I love you deeply when you smile or cry
You own my state of heart, if fair or unfair

The candle light is dying while I dream
Of you, of life, of death, of everything
Of hope, of love, of pain, of sorry hearts
And thousand things, like bells at dawn that ring
A flash of wisdom strikes my lonely heart:
Love with no hope, a greatest song to sing
Some of the dearest things we wish in life
Stay dreams for ever, with no hope to bring

The candle light died out, so did my dreams
The racing waves stopped washing the shore sand
The moonlight that was dancing on the waves
So happy with my dreams, came to a stand
I felt the darkness crawling on my soul
To drown my dreams, I stretched to you my hand
Where it not for your smiles and for your tears
I would have drowned my soul and lost my mind

This is very beautiful. Nicely written, nice flow when read. I really like this....I put it in my favorites.

Organicchick: you showered me with kindness by your positive remarks and a special taste for poetry. Thank you.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
