    Naomi

Naomi is a cloud, too hard to catch
A bird that wanders, with freedom to sing
"Make love" she says, "not war". She is damn right
For war solves nothing, love solves everything
Love for one's God, one's neighbour and one's nurse
Love for one's doctor, for joy it will bring
A troubled world like ours needs such love
How foolish we can be to miss this fact

Naomi lives her life from day to day
And keeps a sense of joy and hope combined
She likes to be told and likes to tell
All that amuses or that goes around
She adds a grain of salt for better taste
And flavours anecdotes for better sound
She is phenomenal in many ways
I sure enjoyed her presence and impact

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
