Ode of a Lonely Physician
A dog barks outside
A cat also mews
Their noises to me
Are nicer than the news
A patient strolls away
unhappy with my drugs
If he wants a sick-leave
But I say "No" he shrugs
My boss is insisting
Not to change my old car
But I am always worried
It won't carry me any far
I am feeling sick today
But I cannot have rest
'cause my nurses expect me
healthy, must do my best
Amid the heat of last July
My AC went on strike
I roasted in the desert heat
A state no one would like
I contemplate and meditate
On the Nature of Things
If Justice was ever applied
Why subjects fight with kings?
A cat also mews
Their noises to me
Are nicer than the news
A patient strolls away
unhappy with my drugs
If he wants a sick-leave
But I say "No" he shrugs
My boss is insisting
Not to change my old car
But I am always worried
It won't carry me any far
I am feeling sick today
But I cannot have rest
'cause my nurses expect me
healthy, must do my best
Amid the heat of last July
My AC went on strike
I roasted in the desert heat
A state no one would like
I contemplate and meditate
On the Nature of Things
If Justice was ever applied
Why subjects fight with kings?
