Sold My Soul
Darkness sits within me.
Blocking the answers I need.
Changing me inside forever
Killing my chance to succeed.
My heart, shattered like glass,
Lying on the street.
Shards of my dreams
Slicing up my feet.
Trying to remember
Why I wanted to be free.
Looking for the truth
Finding it so empty.
Everyone around me
Thinks I’ve lost my mind.
I sold my soul for love
And it’s left me blind
I don’t see reality,
But I feel it’s icy breath
I prefer my dreams
And it scares me half to death.
How can I survivie
On something that’s not real
Twisting in between
The things that I feel.
You never promised me
Anything at all
And stupidity is something
That brought about my fall.
And I’m trying to rebuild
Forget this rage inside
Erecting this façade
Before I can decide
Trying to pretend
Everythings just fine
Wondering if I’m brave enough
To try and cross the line.
Blocking the answers I need.
Changing me inside forever
Killing my chance to succeed.
My heart, shattered like glass,
Lying on the street.
Shards of my dreams
Slicing up my feet.
Trying to remember
Why I wanted to be free.
Looking for the truth
Finding it so empty.
Everyone around me
Thinks I’ve lost my mind.
I sold my soul for love
And it’s left me blind
I don’t see reality,
But I feel it’s icy breath
I prefer my dreams
And it scares me half to death.
How can I survivie
On something that’s not real
Twisting in between
The things that I feel.
You never promised me
Anything at all
And stupidity is something
That brought about my fall.
And I’m trying to rebuild
Forget this rage inside
Erecting this façade
Before I can decide
Trying to pretend
Everythings just fine
Wondering if I’m brave enough
To try and cross the line.
