    Yesteryear

    Popping dreams of yesteryear,
You secrets kept me full of fear.
You had it all and wanted
    More.
And the look in your eyes
    Said you’d even the score.
    But I’m not afraid
    Of what I can’t see.
    And everyone keeps saying
    It’s stupid of me.
    Maybe it is, but you
    Don’t see me shaking.
    And when we make love,
I won’t be the one faking.
    So open your eyes, but
    Now to wide.
    Just enough, to make
    Sure you’re satisfied…
