    Inside Me

    I’m uncharted territory.
    Displayed appropriately,
    Spread open
    For the world to see.

    Descending willingly.
    Past glimpses, fleetingly
    Displaying,
    All my hypocrisy

    And if I listlessly
    Agree to faultlessly
    Let you place
    All the blame on me.

and I let you defeat me,
keep my heart and soul from me,
    because I thought
it would make my life so easy.

So what does this make me?
    Though the results were exceedingly,
    Or maybe only
    Theoretically

    For the best…

In my mind's eye, you are a woman in love...perhaps with a man that is not for you. Don't really know. From your first line, I was thinking...WOMAN!!! Great poem. Thanks for sharing. 10

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
