People Do Notice
People do notice, and that is the crime.
They would rather do nothing than give their time.
They see what they want, and are blind to the rest.
No witnesses scream, cry, or protest.
The old lady killed for her retirement check,
The baby thrown from a balcony deck,
Everyone sighs and says, "What a shame".
But no one puts an end to this game
People do notice, and that is the crime.
They would rather do nothing than give their time.
They just sit back, and refuse to act,
Until the tragedy is the only fact.
