    its high and warm
    there is no hard cement to hold me
    there are pillows and blankets
    my cardboard is missing

    people crawl in to grab and poke me
    there are screams and cries
    there is no breeze to comfort me

    Short but very real and all too common these days. You certainly expressed this well!! kodos

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
