Pentecost
Pentecost
When the day of Pentecost had fully come
God gave them proof that He had raised His son
In the grave three days and three nights
So that when we believe and speak His word, we shine as lights
When God looks at us, He knows we are the ones
That He placed His spirit in to make us His sons
They being instructed to breathe deep, deep into their lungs
When they saw the sign, they began to speak in tongues
Manifesting power from on high
Yes, from farther than can be seen by the naked eye
It was promised to those there, their children and to all that are afar off too
Yes even today this promise holds true
So don’t be shy, come boldly unto the throne of grace
Yes, we are born again, and someday we will see him face to face
A new body we will have that is fashioned like unto his
Speaking in tongues is our assurance of this promise of His
The day of Pentecost was the beginning of it all
For us to have within us again, what was lost in the fall
God gave all He could give for us, and here is a tip
He did all of this so that with us He could have fellowship
So if you have His spirit, speak to Him every day in private or in prayer
Sing it or speak it and see your calloused heart come clean layer by layer
For to be spiritually minded is life and peace
So just let go and let God as much as you please
