Another Rose Petal

Another rose petal is what they say

You have become when you pass away

For God has called you home to be by His side

But this is not the truth, but something the Devil has to hide

For when you die, you are really dead

For there are no more thoughts running in your head

But what you were when alive may help us to see

Where you will end up and where you will be

For the bible clearly states that things will take place

Our response to this will surely show in our face

Do we live in fear, daily of what is to be

Or do we have assurance of what we will see

Did we make Jesus our Lord or did we miss

For no one ever showed you of this great bliss

But there it is in the pages plain to see

That everlasting life and a new heaven and earth for us to see

Those who have died can not help us now

For no one ever comes back no way and no how

These are lies to blind us from the real truth

For there really is a hope and real proof

The séances and cards are just a snare

To keep you locked in for they do not care

They utter words as sharp as a knife

All they do is bring us great strife

But God’s Word is sharper than any two edged sword

Dividing asunder shattering all of those lies with His great word

Knowing this truth makes us very free

To help others now to help them so they can see

God’s son shall return to gather his own
