I was not there
I WAS NOT THERE
I was not there to see my Lord and Saviour
Nor was I there to see the miracles he did
I was not there to see him set the captives free
Nor was I there to see him give sight to the blind
I was not there when they arrested him
I was not there to hear Peter deny him six times
I was not there to see him wrongly tried
I was not there on the day he died
I was not there to look into the empty tomb
I was not there when he showed them his wounds
I was not there when Thomas disbelieved
Nor was I there when his unbelief was relieved
I was not there between those days
I was not there to hear the questions they raised
I was not there when commandments he gave
Nor was I there when into heaven he was raised
I was not there on the day of Pentecost
I was not there to receive what his life cost
I was not there to walk as they walked
Nor was I there to see with what boldness they talked
But I am here today because of all of this
Here today to speak truth from my lips
Here today because the price was paid
Not to die but to live for him with his Fathers aid
The grave can not be found
Nor the grave wrappings are they around
But what I manifest is more proof than these
For these perfect words are what God gives and with His word they agree
A more sure word of Prophesy is what they are
Witnessing to the truth that he is alive
Living in me and all those who have confessed him so
Awaiting his return, wow I am so ready to go
