PAPER, METAL & PLASTIC
PAPER, METAL & PLASTIC
PEOPLE ALL IN LONG LINES
WAITING
PEOPLE WAITING, PEOPLE LIKE YOU OR ME
PEOPLE WAITING FOR A DOOR TO OPEN
JUST WAITING FOR HE
THE MAN ON THE OTHER SIDE
HE IS WAITING TO BE TOLD
HE LOOKS THRU THE GLASS AT THE FRENZY
HE IS NOW TOLD TO OPEN THE DOOR
HE IS UNAWARE WHATS TO UNFOLD
THE PEOPLE COME IN LIKE CATTLE
THEY COME IN WITH A ROAR
THEY’RE PUSHING AND SHOVING
THERES NO WHERE TO GO
THE GLASS BEGINS TO SHATTER
THE ONE MAN IS DOWN ON THE FLOOR
NOT BELIEVING, WHAT THE PEOPLE ARE DOING THIS FOR
AS THEY ALL TRAMPLE AND STAMPEDE HIM
THEY’RUNNING FAST, TRIPPING AND FALLING
TO BE THE FIRST ONE
THEY’RE RUNNING, TO GET WHAT THEY THINK THEY NEED
WITH THEIR POCKETS AND POCKET BOOKS FULL
FULL OF PAPER, METAL & PLASTIC
NEVER CARING ABOUT HE, WHO IS DEAD ON THE FLOOR
JUST CARING ABOUT BUYING SOMETHING
SOMETHING THEY THINK THEY NEED
THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY’RE LIVING
AND HAVE DONE THE MOST UNFORGIVING
BECAUSE IT’S ALL ABOUT THE GREED
ALL ABOUT THE INTRIGUING LIVES
NOT ABOUT HE, THE ONE MAN THAT LET THEM IN
JUST IN A STORE, TO BUY SOMETHING THEY DON’T NEED
