A TIME TO RUN AWAY

Poem Commentary

A FEELING FOR CHANGE IN ONE'S LIFE .YES THE POSSIBILTY ALWAYS THERE

A TIME TO RUN AWAY

A TIME TO RUNAWAY

TIC, TIC, TIC, TIC

IT’S BEEN SO LONG A TIME

ALL THOSE YEARS OF HUSTLE

AND NOW MY BODY AND MIND

FEELS AN EXTREME FATIGUE

FROM ALL THOSE YEARS, TODAY MUST CHANGE

SO ALL THOSE FUTURE DAYS I CAN CHANGE

I NEED TO FEEL THE BUOYANCY

I NEED TO RECREATE LIFE

I NEED TO REJUVENATE

ALTHOUGH MY EYES DO NOT SEE LIKE THEY DID BEFORE

I CAN SEE MUCH MORE THAN EVER BEFORE

ALTHOUGH MY MIND IS DRAINED

I CAN SEE THE NEW AND MANY DREAMS TO COME

ALTHOUGH MY HEART BLEEDS AND IS BROKE

I CAN FEEL MY HEART OPENING AND BECOMING WHOLE AGAIN

STILL TIME ALWAYS TIC’S AWAY

LIKE DREAMS THAT LAST FOREVER

NEVER DESISTING

MY TIME SEEMS TO OF BEEN SO LONG

BUT YET, MY TIME IS VERY SHORT

SO NOW IS THE TIME TO RUNAWAY

SOMEWHERE NEW AND FRESH

SOMEWHERE BUT HERE

WHAT I WAS, I WILL NEVER BE AGAIN

I WILL BE SLEEK, AND STIMULATE MY SINS

I WILL TAKE STOCK IN MY NEW DREAMS

I WILL BE ME, SCRUPULOUS

I DON’T HAVE TO RUN AWAY ANYMORE

I DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TIME TICKING AWAY

I can relate to many parts of this poem. Especially the feeling of ones body being fatigue from all the years of hustle. Ones eyes not seeing as they use to but now have the ability to see more than I did before. The need to rejuvenate and recreate ones life. And having a bleeding and broken heart, time seeming so long yet is so short. Please keep cranking out your works with such feeling. Kyma63

THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS POEM,I'LL BE CHECHING YOUR POEMS

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
