    Our Song

There is a place I go when I think of you
blissfully still though the air moves around us
like a breathing of hope long lived in our hearts.
Life which was severed by blade as body could not
be denied or hidden in night.
The dark reddened blackness once hollowed me out
now taking in light & laughter brings joy.
The place is reunion of spirit
    parting unwilling,mysteriously knowing we belong
    in fulfillment of oneness.
I still hear the songs I sang to my belly
in the place I go when I think of you.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
