My Regret
I found myself alone one day, the silence felt so cold,
Your lips to kiss, your eyes that stare, no loving arms to hold.
As I sit here and I watch, the time that hurries by,
The day will come to my surprise and you'll be by my side.
Walls surround my inner voice, that wants to scream and yell,
Beneath the darkness and the guilt of not saying farewell.
Toward the path it seems, I'm getting closer to the truth.
The farthest were apart, my love, the love is yet induced.
I stare into a picture frame, your face seems so sincere,
The love you claim you've given me, is really rather clear.
And now I sit here, all alone, remembering your smile,
That makes my life so full of joy, A memory worthwhile.
I'm longing for your safe return, my heart and soul await,
So I no longer have to question, That this is truly fate.
