    Misunderstood

We shall remain a mystery to each other
    We may understand
but understanding has so many levels
    Each level taking time
Some people don’t stick around for all that time
    And then,
    we are left as individuals
    Misunderstood.

I really like this poem. It's so true... unless someone is willing to take the time to get to know a person and try to understand them, they never will... that's a bad feeling when you're misunderstood.

Another powerhouse poem. The words you choose, are perfect for what you are writting about ! You have a gift or talent for writting. You might think about getting your poems published.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
