Makai
Just a loved little boy,
oh so young
Your song had been written,
had yet to be sung.
Your mother,
your father,
your brothers too,
they live with the guilt of missing you.
Gone off to heaven,
you sprout angel wings.
You sing and you fly,
and you do happy things.
Back here on earth,
your family mourns
for all of the things they could have done more.
Your father,
he laughs, to hide his pain.
Your mother,
she hangs her head in shame.
Your brothers,
they fear they shouldve watched you,
done something, anything,
that they didn't do
Its been five years since you drowned,
your family is gone,
they've left town.
Those people,
we are glad to call friends,
neighbors, companions, a few hands to lend.
And even though I never knew you,
We've done so much,
to help them through
Makai, such a wonderful, young little boy,
you brought everyone 'round you such great joy.
The four short years you spent here on earth,
the pain of loss, that time was worth.
I LOVE YOU MAKAI ANTHONY DRONET!
