    Love is not Enough

First glimpse, we walked ,we talked

It wasn’t enough I needed more

First kiss, we touched, we clutched

It wasn’t enough I needed more

Candle lit dinners, secret affairs, putting on airs

It wasn’t enough I needed more

Jamaican tryst, we made love, devoted to one

It wasn’t enough I needed more

You moved in, more than a fling, wearing my ring

It wasn’t enough I needed more

Walking the isle, being my wife, sharing a life

It wasn’t enough I needed more

Buying a home, bearing my kids, one till heaven forbids

It wasn’t enough I needed more

Your love insatiably infectious and contagious

But it’s not enough I want more

True love always leaves you wanting more

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
