    Bri

A princess was born to me

    Big sparkling eyes had she

Dimpled smile that all could see

This was a gift Christ gave to me

A daughter her name was Bri

Grew to be my pride and joy did she

Has a little of both her mother and me

My beautiful child kind and free

Smart and confident in her ability

She is both the sun and stars to me

Brightens days and lights nights does she

Holds my world in her little hand you see

better man because of love she gives me

I cherish the happiness you bring for free

So I scribe in rhyme to thank thee for thee

My love, my heart, my Bri

I’m eager to see all you can be

because in your eyes a leader I see

My Princess you are a Queen to be

Trust and believe and you will see

The world you will conquer as you did me

    Love always,

    Dad

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
