Can’t you see what I see

What’s clear to me nobody else can see, what’s wrong is it them or is it me

They say their right I’m blind to what they conceive, and this they believe

I pause, wonder and doubt hover over in glee, it’s hard being the emcee

The savior and evil seed in their life’s tree, Everyone hates and needs me

They bleed and plea for a bandage on their knee, why should I concede

What’s clear to me nobody else can see, what’s wrong is it them or is it me

My hand is the one from which they feed, yet they long to see me bleed

My minds eye is open wider then they can see, I say forest they say tree

No mans an island but I’m surrounded by a sea, no vessel can reach me

Deserted, is this how my life was meant to be, free is what I long to be

What’s clear to me nobody else can see, what’s wrong is it them or is it me

I have visions that drive me hauntingly, chosen to succeed, what shall I be

It’s part of who I am, and who I shall be, wasn’t mine, it’s the lords decree

Given to me when I was born to thee, the choice not mine to accept or flea

It was inbreed deep inside of me, was born not to follow, but to lead thee

What’s clear to me nobody else can see, what’s wrong is it them or is it me

Don’t take life’s frustrations out on me , want you to see what I for see

Please cross that sea and stand with me, taste this Chablis that I can see

Turn my island into a city for all to see, life as I say it is supposed to be

Walk with me even if you don’t believe, I can see further than you dream

Together we set my dream free enjoy the life I for see, just believe

    IN ME!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
