    I have seen

I have seen the light of the night time stars shine through the morning sky. I have seen the wind blow but the trees stood still and it made me wonder why.

I have seen a baby laughing while a grown man cried at this (I admit) I had to stare. I have seen a woman talking and gesturing with her hands at someone who wasn't there.

I have seen joy come from pain, for example, as when a woman gives birth. I have seen faithful farmers pray for the rain to nourish the parched earth.

I have seen many things in this life good, bad and even miracles too but I have never seen a day as blessed as the day that I met you.

Oh, I love this one too. You sound like someone who really notices the small things in life, who really "sees" people. And it's so sweet that you mention all these things to ultimately make someone else feel special that they are in your life. Nice.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
