GAURDIAN OF A LOVELESS LAND
now they tell me i'm not superman
after flying to my hearts content
and all that truth and justice
was only in my head
what about the locomotive
his breath alone could kill
i've leaped the tallest buildings
and raced speeding bullets as well
to prove myself i flashed my speedos
but they were quickly stripped away
if i'm not him would i have this
then they took my cape
locked away and labeled
a threat to others and myself
in a place where forgotten heroes
die inside while looking out
clark my mild mannered friend
came to visit me today
i thanked him for the open window
up, up and away
after flying to my hearts content
and all that truth and justice
was only in my head
what about the locomotive
his breath alone could kill
i've leaped the tallest buildings
and raced speeding bullets as well
to prove myself i flashed my speedos
but they were quickly stripped away
if i'm not him would i have this
then they took my cape
locked away and labeled
a threat to others and myself
in a place where forgotten heroes
die inside while looking out
clark my mild mannered friend
came to visit me today
i thanked him for the open window
up, up and away
