    Author's Plague

    All of us young and old
    Author's well known or ones with stories untold
    We all get hit by the plague now at least one time
    Unable to speak or figure a rhyme

    Symptoms may include
    Choking on words, not food
    Blindness to inspiration as it comes to you
    Deaf to ideas old and new

    Also you're unable to use a pencil for good
    Word vomit left where you once stood
    Irritability, frustration, and stress above all others
    Curl up in bed under the covers

    The plague will get you now and then
    Frustration, blindness, unable to hold a pen
    It happens to all pen's men kind
    The inability to use your mind

    The plague has many names which we mock
    But it's best known as writer's block
