You Never Turned Away
I thought I was grown and wanted to do things on my own.
For I chose to go astray,
But You Never Turned Away, for you were there to stay;
Thinking I could do it on my own,
How I disobedied your ways.
But You Never Turned Away, for you were there to stay;
You called my name,
I turned away,
How I made so many mistakes.
But You Never Turned Away, for you were there to stay;
Many times I cursed your name,
"I'm doing what I want", was what I would say.
But You Never Turned Away, for you were there to stay;
I was afraid of many things,
Instead of turning back,
I ran away.
But You Never Turned Away, for you were there to stay;
So confused,
Didn't know what to do,
O' My!
I have lost my way.
But You Never Turned Away, for you were there to stay;
A little light to see my way,
A little hope to get through the day,
A little faith is what it takes to Believe You Never Turned Away,
for you were here to stay;
Though I chose to turn and walk away,
The choice I made,
YOU Forgave;
For You Never Turned Away, you always were here to stay;
Now, I'm back Never to stray;
Because Here is where I want to Stay!
