    The Heartache of a Daughter

    OH, how I dreaded that day, when my father would have to go away.

    Never again to say the phrase, "Happy father's Day,"

    For daddy is gone to stay in a better place, they call "Heaven's Gates"

    Someday I will see him again face to face

    But someday's my heart just aches

    I just try to take it day by day.

    The music I play reminds me of those days I had with my father before he had to leave this place.

    Seems only like yesterday, when I saw his smiling face.

    While my heartaches for my dad from time to time, I have a Heavenly Father who comforts me & gives me peace durning my difficult times.

    But nevertheless, you will always be missed;

    Until the day, I come home to stay;

    My heart will ache because I can't see your face.

    But one thing I do know is that you were saved by God's Amazing Grace,
    That's why I can truly say that I know you are in a better place.

    This poems conveys very strong feelings between a parent and child. Very convicting writing that makes the reader look at the topic of Father/daughter relationships. Wonderful Work!

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
