You Leave me Paralyzed
Quietly I lay awake, unable to move.
As if in a trance.
Reflections of you and me sneaking a glance.
Anticipating every little touch we may have by chance.
Absorbed in our moment of romance.
Hoping for the opportunity to be in your presence.
As I begin to subside from this state, my mind reminds my weakened heart,
"You new from the start, in his life you are no part."
I recognize this hazard will be my causality.
Yet still, the strength of this attraction overrides what I know is my
reality.
So for just a while longer, I lay here and welcome this
natural power.
