HOLDING ON
Sitting at the kitchen table, watching all my angels. They eat, talk, fight, try to prove who's always right.
Watching a movie together, each child pushing the other
just to sit next to Mother.
One by one they greet me with hugs and kisses, I love
you from every direction. All to show Mom their affection.
In a race to the car, which one will sit up front. Yesterday it
was big brother, today it will be another.
My heart is filled with such joy. "Who's fighting for what toy?"
The house is so loud, but still I feel so proud. I can barely even
think. "Thank you dear, put the dirty dishes in the sink".
At times I crave peace and quiet, no that's just like being on a diet.
They are the reason I am living, and my heart will never stop giving.
When they are gone I feel so alone, I can't believe how they have
grown. their love I will hold tight, and hold on to these
precious moments.
