Stage Player
Off in the corner of my stage, sits a rustedcage. Rotting away my hopes and dreams,
there left to face as I grow old with age.
Forgetting to set my hearts alarm, I was
devoured by your charm. Convinced there
could be no harm. The flame that fueled my
heart, I could not explain. It just wasn't
the same. With every beat you could see the
smoke from the heat. I'll tell the truth,
at that point I felt complete. We had such
a flair, you could see as others would
stare. I'll admit we made a nice pair.
How could I think that each romantic date
would lead me to my lonely fate. My kisses
wasted on one sided wishes. If only I could
rewrite this play, make it all go away.
Your such a great actor, my heart I let you
capture.
