Voyage of Truth
Washed away, hopes and dreams of what once was you
and me. Carried off to sea with a tide so fierce as
can be.
What could have been, will never be seen.
Forever adrift, the plans of love to share, lost
without a flare.
Capsized is the future we would
have spent together. Unwise were we to believe we
could set sail in our life to be without true loves
anchor.
While we try to stay afloat on this sinking
love boat.
Rummaging through our baggage, how will
we manage.
Letting go of the excess weight, we do
not hesitate, realizing our mistake.
Now we can see
within this hurricane that once was you and me.
As the storm calms, we can see a vision in the
horizon.
A brand new shore, a different place,
a place of you and me no more.
