    What it Takes

It ain't easy what we've done.
But look how far we've come
The days seem easier one by one.
We have made it through disasters big and small
Happy ever after was never my intention at all
    I don't want a fairytale life.
I just want to be happy and someday be your wife
I know we've got it and i know what it takes

The courage to stand up for the way we feel
The love in our hearts to know that it's real
The faith in each other that will see us through
The hope in your eyes when i look at you
    Truth, honesty, commitment and more
Baby we got what it takes for sure.

I'm not familiar enough with English poems, but reading yours I should say it's sincere.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
