    First Love Strikes Again

Everything is lost but some things are never found again

You can hold on, you can keep it all in

    But nobody will win

When the trust is gone and you can't see through the lies

When you are all alone and tears fall from your eyes

You keep handing out the pieces of your heart

Desperately trying so hard not to fall apart

It's a shame that love can be so cold

All that's left are memories that you hold

You just want to lash out at everyone around

You pushed them all away and no one can be found

Tear stained letters crumbled up on floor

Never thought that he could be a whore

You though he was the reason you were alive

But every time you think about him it cuts you like a knife

Is there anything worth living breathing or dying for?

    Anymore

    Any more

And your first love strikes again

    He's the devil, he's a sin

    Your first love strikes again

Think you can let him go

Oh no oh no oh no no no

    Your first love strikes again

Waking up along side a tear stained pillow case

You attempt to survive another day

It's getting easier so it would seem

Then your cell phone rings and you see that face

In your mind you know what he's about to say

You wish reality was a dream

So you could wake up from this nightmare

    And scream

    Just scream

You thought he was the reason you were alive

But every time you think about him it cuts you like a knife

Is there anything worth living breathing or dying for?

    Anymore

    Any more

And your first love strikes again

    He's the devil, he's a sin

    Your first love strikes again

Think you can let him go

Oh no oh no oh no no no

    Your first love strikes again

Why can't I just close the door on the world?

Why can't I just forget what it was like?

Why is it so hard to forget?

Memories drowned out the perfect world

And you just fucked me over and over again

You say that you're sorry, but sorry won't erase the pain that I feel

And sometimes I wish you weren't real

So I don't have to deal

With all the bullshit you put me through

Is it so wrong to want something so right?

To want something so bad you hold on with all of your might

I don't understand how you could hurt me so deep

I hope it eats at you so much you can't even sleep

The tears drowned you in your sleep

You thought he was the reason you were alive

But every time you think about him it cuts you like a knife

Is there anything worth living breathing or dying for?

    Anymore

    Any more

And your first love strikes again

    He's the devil, he's a sin

    Your first love strikes again

Think you can let him go

Oh no oh no oh no no no

    Your first love strikes again

The experience is real and the reality of it is real, as well. The thought that love can be thrown away or talked about negatively is not true. Love is an action. Love survives on the action that it inspires and empowers, regardless of the actions of the other person.

    Thank you for the comment.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
