I Hold On
Uncertainty fills my mind
Is it a crime
To feel the way I do
When I am so close to you
Is it a weakness
That I fall for you
There is a mystery in your eyes
A soul inside that cries
Despite my intuition
For a priceless recognition
I hold on
I grow weaker everyday
Growing fonder at this dismay
Completely reckless
I can no longer fight
I hold on with all my might
A glare upon the window
Reflects something so typical
The fear consumes me
And gravity pulls me down
But what is it that we have found
Impartial to reality
It messes up my memory
Closes out my fantasy
Guides me closer to the light
Disappeared this cold and empty night
Yet I hold on
Furnished all my thoughts
Remind me of my doubts
Covered with inverted eyes
But they can never realize
What all this is to compromise
My heart wanders to the past
Given the chance at last
Surfaced the resurrection of the past
I find it hard to fight
But everything you said was in spite
And everything is trite
So I turn out the light
And walk in the shadows
But still I hold on
Is it a crime
To feel the way I do
When I am so close to you
Is it a weakness
That I fall for you
There is a mystery in your eyes
A soul inside that cries
Despite my intuition
For a priceless recognition
I hold on
I grow weaker everyday
Growing fonder at this dismay
Completely reckless
I can no longer fight
I hold on with all my might
A glare upon the window
Reflects something so typical
The fear consumes me
And gravity pulls me down
But what is it that we have found
Impartial to reality
It messes up my memory
Closes out my fantasy
Guides me closer to the light
Disappeared this cold and empty night
Yet I hold on
Furnished all my thoughts
Remind me of my doubts
Covered with inverted eyes
But they can never realize
What all this is to compromise
My heart wanders to the past
Given the chance at last
Surfaced the resurrection of the past
I find it hard to fight
But everything you said was in spite
And everything is trite
So I turn out the light
And walk in the shadows
But still I hold on
