Wasted Words

Wasted Words

I met this man on the wash today

I heard his name was Ed,

He writes these songs that all should hear

But waste his words instead.

He writes these words straight from the heart

But seldom does he share,

I wonder if he ever thinks

That someone just might care.

Although he says their just his words

"I write them, and then forget",

His wife Althea has different plans

The world will see them yet.

For someone who says he doesn't care

Can sure put up a fuss,

His wife got credit for what he wrote

But she felt it was a must.

Now no more wasted words.

It made me chuckle, then think, deeply. I wonder how many "Ed"s there are, how many I see everyday...

It makes me chuckle too for he is a wonderful man... TY for your comment

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
